L’ ASSOCIAZIONE FESTEGGIA IL 1° ANNO DI ATTIVITA’ DEL LABORATORIO

4 MARZO 2010-4 MARZO 2011

THE ASSOCIATION CELEBRATES 1ST YEAR OF ACTIVITY OF THE LABORATORY

4 March 2010-4 March 2011

On 4 March 2011 in the exhibition halls of the Cultural Remo Branca was celebrated in the 1st year of operation, thanks to the collaboration of many partners who have contributed financially to the implementation of initiative led to a refreshing, important time for socialization among members and guests. During the evening were put on display the works performed by students, projected photographs relating to various phases of the creation of artefacts that have been provided with a CD, edited by Ottaviani Dessì and distributed a booklet that explains in greater analytic different stages of the work and programming of activities, by Paola Pruna, who has also worked on master Stefano Cherchi.

In the laboratory, at present, show-off a woman's head, became, in one case, a tribute to the Pythagorean-Platonic mathematics, and in a second case, a jellyfish, the hands that weave, the result of a reworking of a 'one fist, a clown result of the revision of S. John the Baptist by Donatello and then the original works, compiled by students, as a woman with a beautiful wide-brimmed hat, a composition with geometric shapes and human profiles to signify the strong intermingling between men and mathematical code of interpretation of reality, a model representing the dualism men and women. Many works, once completed, have been destroyed, because copies: this can give an account of the work that was accomplished in one year, with the only break in August.
In the course of 'activities have also visited the children that have been applied in modeling clay with great pleasure, in the laboratory by introducing a climate lively and playful, delightful, as only children can do.
In February 2011 the laboratory was moved to a very large room on the top floor of the building housing the Association. This allows free use of space both in terms of individual and collective basis and the opportunity to exhibit works in a more appropriate use and, possibly, introducing the great hall to the classrooms for the shows that you decide to organize at other times.
In the same large classroom for several months has started a pottery workshop for children who are diligently under the leadership of Gino Balloi potter, friend and collaborator of Stefano.
Children who attend primary schools, are lively and likeable, and create with clay figurines and delightful objects of childhood.
